Mike Pease

"I enjoy coaching and working toward a team goal. I am entering my fourth season and it is an honor to be included among the dozens of coaches here at Lake Forest College who contribute to the academic and athletic success of our student-athletes. Division III athletics presents unique challenges and our coaches are capable and prepared to meet those challenges. We are committed to the preparation of our student-athletes for life beyond the athletic arena. It has been very rewarding to mentor players and see them continue to succeed after graduating. I am proud to be part of an excellent coaching staff and the Forester family."
- Assistant Football Coach Mike Pease

The 2016 season will be the fifth for Mike Pease on the Forester staff and his fourth coaching the team’s kickers and punters. He served as a quality control coach and helped Lake Forest claim a Midwest Conference championship in 2012.

Under Pease’s direction, Jon Gurchak, the Foresters’ primary kicker and punter the last four seasons, graduated as the program’s career leader in extra points and ranked second in team history in field goals and punting yards. He earned all-conference honors in both roles.

Pease’s coaching experience also includes a dozen years as a volunteer in youth sports with the Chicago Park District.

The owner of his own law practice (The Law Offices of Michael A. Pease), Pease is in his 23rd year of practicing law in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs.

Pease earned a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice from Loyola University of Chicago and a Juris Doctor degree from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago.

He and his wife Fran, an administrative assistant in the College’s Dean of Faculty Office, live in Lake Forest with their son Spencer.
