Lake Forest College football player Mike Lewis was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday after helping lead his team to a 31-3 victory over visiting St. Norbert College on Saturday.
Lewis, a senior quarterback, posted a 231.89 quarterback efficiency rating in the game, the highest single-game mark in program history. He completed 16 of 22 passes for a career-high 299 yards and three touchdowns in the contest. Lewis had five completions of at least 32 yards in the game, including a 78-yard connection with sophomore wide receiver George Vidas that put the home team ahead 7-3 late in the first quarter.
Lewis finished the year with 1,572 passing yards, the 10th-highest single-season total in team history, and 14 touchdown passes, which ranks seventh.
Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
