The Forester cross country teams competed in the Aurora University Invitational on Saturday. The event was held at the Northwestern Medicine Cross Country Course in Geneva, Illinois, which is also the site of the NCAA Regional Meet on November 12.
Sophomore Delfina Jorgensen was the women's team's top finisher in her season debut. She completed the 6-kilometer course in 29:38.7, which was good for 162nd place overall. Freshman Jacquelyn Han was next on the squad in 30:55.5.
Sophomore Bart Brophy led the Forester men with an 8-kilometer time of 30:53.8 and 154th-place finish. Meanwhile senior Lionel Whitehead posted a career-best time of 31:21.6.
The Lake Forest women placed 15th as a team while the men had just three runners compete at the meet.
The next meet on the Foresters' 2022 schedule is the Beloit Invitational on Saturday, October 8.
