Forester women's soccer player Michelle Greeneway was named a 2015 Capital One First Team Academic All-American® by the College Sports Information Directors of America on Friday.
Greeneway, a senior finance major, has a grade point average of 3.46 after six semesters at the College. She has earned Academic All-Midwest Conference honors after each of her first three years at the College and is now a two-time Academic All-American®. She was a Second Team selection in 2014.
With a team-high 30 goals, 66 points, and eight game-winning scores this season, Greeneway ranks among the top five in the nation in all three categories. The program's all-time leading scorer is also tied-for-13th in NCAA Division III women's soccer history with 104 career goals and 19th with 240 points.
Greeneway scored at least once in 14 of 19 contests in 2015 with 10 multi-goal performances, including four hat tricks.
Lake Forest finished the season with an overall record of 14-3-2 and claimed its second straight MWC title with a 9-0-1 record in league play. The Foresters were 62-15-4 overall and 34-3-3 in the conference with three league titles and a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances during Greeneway's four-year career.
