The College Swimming Coaches Association of America announced the Fall 2013 Scholar All-America Teams on Wednesday and both Lake Forest College squads made the list.
The Team Scholar All American award is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams who have achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The award is presented twice annually, once in the fall semester/term and in the semester/term of the NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA Swimming and Diving Championships (Winter/Spring).
With a 3.04 combined grade point average, the Forester men were one of 76 NCAA Division III men's teams to earn the award. The Lake Forest women's team finished the fall with a 3.03 combined GPA and was one of 120 Division III women's teams on the list.
This is the fifth consecutive semester the Forester women have met the CSCAA's standard for Team All-American honors and the second in the last three for the Lake Forest men.
