Lake Forest senior Oleksyi Vyshyvanyuk, sophomore Daniel Tulchinskiy, and freshman George Ciuca made the trip to St. Louis to compete in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regional Tournament over the weekend.
Vyshyvanyuk and Tulchinskiy had a bye in the opening round of doubles play and edged out a tandem from DePauw University 8-6 in the round of 32. They were finally eliminated 8-3 in the round of 16 by the event's top-seeded team from Case Western Reserve University.
Vyshyvanyuk was the #13 seed in singles but had to retire from his opening round match due to injury. Freshman George Ciuca was also stopped in the round of 64 by the #14 seed.
It was the final competition for the Forester men in the fall. They will resume the 2022-23 season with a dual match at Wheaton College on February 4.
