The Lake Forest College men's tennis team fell 7-2 at Wheaton College, the 14th-ranked team in the Central Region, on Wednesday. Junior John Adams contributed to both of the Foresters' team points.
Adams and senior Elliot Muth prevailed 8-4 at #2 doubles but the visitors fell by the same score at the other two spots in the doubles lineup.
Adams also posted a 6-4, 6-2 victory at #2 singles, extending his winning streak to eight matches. He is now 13-3 in singles this season and 53-14 in his career, tying him with Guerin Williams for fourth place in team history in singles victories. His 96 wins in doubles and singles combined ranks sixth in school history.
Lake Forest fell to 7-9 with two dual matches remaining on the schedule. Wheaton is now 12-5.
The Foresters will host Ripon College Thursday afternoon at 3:00 and North Central College Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
