The Lake Forest College men's tennis team dropped a 5-4 decision at Wabash College on Saturday. Forester junior John Adams and sophomore Ryan Kreis each won twice on the day.
Adams and senior Elliot Muth tied the match at one with an 8-3 victory at #2 doubles and Kreis and sophomore Anthony Warren gave the visitors the lead with a 9-7 triumph at #1.
Wabash regained the advantage with wins at #6 and #4 singles. Kreis, the 19th-ranked player in the region, finished off a 6-1, 6-4 victory at the top spot in the lineup and Adams put the Foresters back on top by prevailing 6-3, 7-5 at #2. The Little Giants, however, pulled out three-set victories at #3 and #5 to win the match.
Lake Forest fell to 5-6 on the season while Wabach raised its record to 11-6.
The Foresters will begin Midwest Conference South Division play at Illinois College next Saturday. Lake Forest will take on Grinnell College at 12:30 p.m. and the hosts at 3:30.
