The Lake Forest College men's tennis team trailed 3-0 but was leading in three singles matches when rain suspended its match with Mississippi College on Tuesday. The contest will not be finished.
Mississippi College won all three of the doubles matches. The closest was an 8-6 decision at #1 over sophomores Ryan Kreis and Anthony Warren.
At 6-2, 4-2, Kreis was just two games away from winning his match at #1 singles. Forester junior John Adams was also ahead 6-3, 1-4 at #2 while senior Elliot Muth won the first set 6-3 at #3 and led in the second 4-0. Lake Forest trailed in the first set at #4 and #5 singles and neither team had won a game at #6.
The Foresters will take on Gettysburg College at 8:00 (EST) tomorrow morning and conclude their spring break trip to Hilton Head, South Carolina, against Scranton College Thursday at 9:00 a.m.
