Lake Forest Posts MWC Runner-Up Finishes at Two of Three Doubles PositionsMay 02, 2010The Forester men's tennis team completed its 2010 season at the Midwest Conference Doubles Tournaments at the Nielsen Tennis Center in Madison, Wisconsin, on Sunday (May 2). Lake Forest had placed second in the MWC Team Championship Tournament two days earlier and also finished Saturday's singles competition and Sunday's doubles play with 61 points, the second-highest total in the league.

Lake Forest Finishes Second at Midwest Conference Championship TournamentApril 30, 2010The Forester men's tennis team was the runner-up at the Midwest Conference Team Championship Tournament Friday (April 30) at the Nielsen Tennis Center in Madison, Wisconsin. Lake Forest defeated Lawrence University 5-1 in the semifinals but was unable to prevent Grinnell College from claiming its seventh straight league title on a 5-1 decision in the championship. The Foresters finished their final dual matches of the year with a 20-6 record.

Foresters Edge Out Elmhurst and St. Norbert to Break Program's Wins RecordApril 18, 2010The 2010 Lake Forest College men's tennis team became the winningest squad in program history by defeating Elmhurst College 6-3 and St. Norbert College 5-4 on Sunday (April 18). The Foresters are now 19-5 on the season with two more victories than the previous record set by the 2000 team and matched in 2007. Elmhurst also edged out St. Norbert 5-4 and is now 5-7 on the year. St. Norbert fell to 11-17.

Lake Forest Defeats Monmouth and Carroll to Tie School Record for VictoriesApril 17, 2010The Forester men's tennis team defeated Monmouth College and Carroll University 7-2 at home on Saturday (April 17). The victories gave Lake Forest a 17-5 overall record and a share of the program record for victories in a season. The triumph over Monmouth raised the Foresters' Midwest Conference South Division record to 3-1 and likely earned them a spot in the four-team MWC Team Championship Tournament on April 30. Monmouth (1-1 MWC South) fell to 4-10 overall after dropping a 5-4 decision to Carroll in between the Lake Forest victories. Carroll is now 9-5 on the year.

Foresters Fall to Chicago and CarthageApril 11, 2010The Lake Forest College men's tennis team dropped an 8-0 decision to the University of Chicago and was defeated 7-2 by Carthage College at home on Sunday (April 11). The Foresters fell to 13-5 on the season. Chicago, the 17th-ranked team in the nation, also posted a 7-2 victory over Carthage and is now 12-5 on the year. Carthage is 9-6.

Lake Forest Defeats Beloit and Knox at HomeApril 10, 2010The Forester men's tennis team raised its record on the season to 13-3 by defeating Beloit College 9-0 and Knox College 7-2 at home on Saturday (April 10). The victory over Knox lifted Lake Forest's Midwest Conference South Division mark to 2-1 and dropped the Prairie Fire to 3-10 overall and 1-1 in league play. Beloit fell to 1-5 overall.

Foresters Split First Two Conference Matches of the YearApril 03, 2010The Lake Forest College men's tennis team split its first two home and Midwest Conference South Division matches of the season on Saturday (April 3), falling 8-1 to Grinnell College and defeating Illinois College 9-0. The Foresters are now 11-3 overall this season. Grinnell also defeated Illinois College 9-0 and is now 13-3 overall and 1-0 in the league. Illinois College fell to 2-10 overall and 0-4 in conference play.
