The Lake Forest College played its final event of the fall semester on Sunday and Monday, finishing ninth out of 21 teams at the UW-Stout Invitational.
The two-day tournament took place at the Grand Geneva Resort in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, with Sunday's opening round played on The Highlands, a 6,625-yard, par-71 course, and Sunday's on The Brute, which covers 6,996 yards and is a par-72.
Senior Jack Dwyer led the Foresters with an 80 on Monday and a 36-hole score of 158 for the tournament. He and classmate Carlos Garcia Bodini, who had an 82 in the second round, carded a team-high three birdies in round two and five at the event.
Fellow senior James Johnson matched Garcia Bodini's 82 on Monday and finished just one shot behind Dwyer and tied-for-31st with a 159 for the tournament. Sophomore Chris Petri turned in Lake Forest's best round of the weekend with a 76 on Sunday and placed 35th out of 116 players with a two-day total of 160. Junior Ryan Higgins registered scores of 78 and 85 and tied-for-48th overall.
The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire won the event with a score of 597, three shots better than runner-up Luther College. The Foresters' 641 placed them ninth overall and third in a group of eight teams separated by just 16 shots.
Lake Forest is not scheduled to compete again until the Jim Wetherbee Memorial Invitational, which begins on the final day of March.
