The American Football Coaches Association Released its weekly Division III Top 25 Coaches' Poll on Monday and Lake Forest College entered the rankings at #25.
The Foresters are 4-0 overall and 3-0 in the Midwest Conference so far this season. They have outscored opponents 186-31 and rank among the national leaders in numerous statistical categories, especially on the defensive side of the ball.
Dating back to the spring of 2021, Lake Forest has come out on top in its last 17 regular season contests and owns a 14-game winning streak against fellow members of the MWC. The team is coming off a 41-10 triumph at Cornell College and will host Illinois College in its Homecoming game this Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
The AFCA Division III Board of Coaches includes 42 voters representing all Division III conferences. The Division III Coaches' Poll is released on Mondays and will run through the completion of the regular season in mid-November. A final poll will be released on the Monday following the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl.
Lake Forest was ranked as high as #22 in the poll last year and finished at #23. Prior to Monday, the Foresters had been among the others receiving votes in each of this season's polls.
