Junior Julie Lord posted victories at the top of the singles and doubles lineup but the Foresters were defeated 7-2 at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in their final dual match of the fall on Saturday.
Lord and senior Leeza Bodnar came out on top of an 8-6 decision at #1 doubles but the home team still led 2-1 going into singles play.
Also victorious in singles, Lord took down the Warhawks' top player 6-0, 6-2 to improve to a team-best 12-1 in dual matches this year. The other five Forester singles players combined to win at least three games in 7 of 10 sets but were unable to add to their team's score.
The loss dropped Lake Forest's record on the season to 11-2 while Whitewater remained perfect at 8-0.
The Foresters will close out the fall at the Midwest Conference Individual Tournaments in Madison, Wisconsin, next Saturday and Sunday.
