Seniors Melissa Bodine, Amanda Brunges, and Kayla Griffith were named to the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Women's All-Academic Team for the third time on Wednesday and were joined by four Forester sophomores.
In addition to the three seniors, sophomores Amanda Boisjolie, Jacque Rogers, Sydney Simone, and Julia Unterseher made the list.
To qualify for the award, players must be sophomores, juniors, or seniors with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30. Lake Forest's seven honorees ranked fourth in the league behind Adrian College and College of St. Scholastica, which had 10 each, and the eight from Concordia University Wisconsin. The 10 women's team in the league combined for 53 all-academic team members.
The Foresters' seven NCHA All-Academic team awards are the second-most in program history, trailing only the team's eight honorees in 2016.
