Sophomore forward Paige Bobos tied for game-high honors with nine points as the Lake Forest College women's basketball team fell 63-50 to Kenyon College at the Arizona Shootout on Thursday.
Neither team had a player score in double figures. Forester sophomore guard Bridget Bilek and forward Hannah Hiland were next on the team with eight points apiece and junior forward Kara Norvet led Lake Forest with six rebounds. Bilek also dished out a team-high four assists.
The Foresters shot a season-low 22.2 percent from the field while Kenyon connected on 34.3 of their field goal attempts. The Ladies out-rebounded Lake Forest 63-36.
Kenyon scored the game's first six points and led 13-4 after the first quarter. The margin grew to as many as 17 points twice during the first half, which ended with the Ladies ahead 34-20.
The Foresters trailed by as many as 21 points multiple times in the second half before outscoring the Ladies 11-3 in th egame's final three minutes.
Lake Forest is now 2-6 this season while Kenyon improved to 8-3.
The Foresters will close out play at the Arizona Shootout against Williams College Friday at noon (MST).
