Junior Yaneli Guajardo's third-place finish in the 800 was the best by a Forester during Saturday's ONU Invite at Olivet Nazarene University.
Guajardo completed four laps around the track during the event's sixth and fastest heat in 2:24.29. Freshman Madeline Morland won the second heat in 2:31.96 for 12th place in the 35-runner field.
Morland and Guajardo switched roles in the mile with Morland finishing fourth in 5:24.92 and Guajardo eighth in 5:28.92. They ran in the last of four heats in the 56-runner event.
The top performance for the Lake Forest men came in the 3000, where senior Philip Wilson was 23rd out of 66 competitors with a time of 9:15.96. Sophomore Christian Reyes was in the top half in the mile, finishing 35th out of 76 runners in a career-best 4:42.29.
The Foresters will compete in the Ripon College Invitational next Saturday.
