Lake Forest College men's tennis player Oleksyi Vyshyvanyuk was named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week on Tuesday for his performance in a pair of matches over the weekend.
Vyshyvanyuk, a junior, contributed to both the Foresters' points in a 7-2 loss to visiting Judson University on Saturday. He and freshman Daniel Tulchinskiy defeated the Eagles' top doubles team 8-3 and Vyshyvanyuk posted a 6-4, 6-3 victory at #1 singles.
Lake Forest came out on top 5-4 at Milwaukee School of Engineering on Sunday. Vyshyvanyuk and Tulchinskiy won 8-2 atop the doubles lineup and Vyshyvanyuk did not drop a game against the Raiders' best singles player.
Vyshyvanyuk is now 59-19 in singles and doubles matches combined during his collegiate career.
