The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced the 2020 CoSIDA Academic All-District® Men's At-Large Team on Thursday and Forester men's hockey player Boyd DiClemente was among the honorees.
In addition to ice hockey, the Men's At-Large Division includes lacrosse, water polo, skiing, fencing, swimming and diving, golf, gymnastics, rifle, tennis, volleyball, and wrestling. DiClemente was one of 11 NCAA Division III student-athletes selected in District 7, which includes schools located in Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio.
DiClemente helped lead Lake Forest to an 18-6-3 record and the program's first selection to the NCAA Division III Tournament since 1991. The junior goaltender set a single-season team record and ranked sixth in the country with 17 victories in 2019-20. He finished his first season as the team's primary goaltender with a save percentage of .917 and goals against average of 2.29.
Majoring in economics, DiClemente owns a cumulative grade point average of 4.0 and was named to the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association All-Academic Team each of the last two years.
He will now appear on the Academic All-America® ballot with that team scheduled to be announced on June 17.
