Freshman guard Aidyn Albright and junior guard Sean Espinosa combined for 55 points Wednesday night in Lake Forest's 102-89 win at the University of Chicago.

Espinosa led all players in the contest with 28 points and added four rebounds and a team-high six assists. He shot 12-for-18 from the field in the contest and knocked down four of six attempts from three-point range. Albright came off the bench to score 27 points and shot 7-for-9 from beyond the arc.

Sophomore guard Tashon Brown and senior guard Aram Arslanian also reached double figures with 15 and 10 points, respectively. Brown also dished out five assists and Arslanian matched Albright for the team lead in steals with three.

Lake Forest shot a blistering 60 percent from the field and was even better from long-range, tying the fourth-highest single-game total in program history with 16 three-pointers in 25 tries. The Maroons also shot well at 55.2 percent and the home team made 17 of 24 free throws. Chicago also had a 30-25 edge in rebounds but committed 19 turnovers to the Foresters' 12.

Freshman Reece Taylor put the home team on top for good with a dunk less than eight minutes into the game. A 9-1 Foresters run later in the opening period extended the lead to to double digits and a three-pointer by Espinosa in the closing seconds of the half made the score 55-43 in favor of Lake Forest at intermission.

The Maroons closed to within nine points with 15 minutes left but Lake Forest scored nine points without surrendering any in the next two-and-a-half minutes and maintained a lead of at least 10 the rest of the way. A layup by Forester junior wing Michael Drew Jr. made the score 102-79 with less than three minutes left and Chicago then scored the final 10 points of the night.

Lake Forest improved to 2-0 on the young season while the Maroons fell to 1-1.

The Foresters' next game will be at Wheaton College next Tuesday night at 7:00.
