AP All-American Honors for Jordan McInerney

AP All-American Honors for Jordan McInerney

The Associated Press announced its NCAA Division III All-American Teams on Thursday and Lake Forest College's Jordan McInerney was a Second Team selection.

McInerney led the Foresters with 76 tackles and ranked second in the nation with 14.5 sacks and fourth with 22.0 tackles for loss. He finished his career with 223 tackles overall and will graduate from the College in May as the program's all-time leader with 54.5 tackles for loss. He is also tied-for-second in team annals with 29.0 career sacks.

The list of awards for McInerney in 2019 continues to grow. He was named to the D3football Team of the Week three times, Forester Athlete of the Week twice and Midwest Conference Defensive Performer of the Week once during the season. He was then voted First Team All-MWC and the MWC Defensive Line MVP on November 18, First Team All-American by the American Football Coaches Association on December 4, and First Team All-West Region by D3football.com on December 10.

Lake Forest finished the season with an overall record of 7-3 and a mark of 4-1 in MWC North Division play.
