McInerney Earns Third Appearance on D3football.com Team of the Week

Forester Jordan McInerney was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week on Tuesday, the third time this season he has been listed among the best players in the country.

McInerney made a game-high 13 tackles, includng eight solo stops, in last Saturday night's 42-14 victory at Lawrence University. Among them were a single-game school record 5.5 sacks and 6.5 tackles for loss and the senior defensive end also became the program's all-time leader in career tackles for loss with 53.5.

The Lake Forest defense limited Lawrence to just 190 total yards in the contest and McInerney was personally responsible for setting the Vikings back a total of 38 yards on his tackles for loss.

McInerney currently leads the nation with 14.5 sacks and ranks second in the country with 21.0 tackles for loss on the year.

The D3football.com Team of the Week is presented by Scoutware and includes a starting lineup on each side of the ball and four special teams players. McInerney also made the list for his performance in the season opener at Wisconsin Lutheran College on September 5 and at Macalester College on October 12.
