Lake Forest College football player Jordan McInerney was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week on Tuesday for his performance in the Foresters' 27-15 season-opening victory at Wisconsin Lutheran College last Thursday night.
McInerney led the Foresters with 10 tackles on the night, including seven solos. The senior defensive end's 4.5 tackles for loss in the contest matched the fifth-highest single-game total in team history while his 3.5 sacks rank tied-for-second. He is now tied-for-fifth in school history with 37.0 career tackles for loss and sixth with 18.0 sacks.
