The softball team's 2017 home opener is scheduled for Saturday and the men's tennis team will also be in action this weekend.
After posting a 5-7 record at The Spring Games during last week's Spring Break trip to Florida, the Forester softball team will host the University of Wisconsin-Stout in a doubleheader beginning at 1:00 Saturday afternoon. The Blue Devils are 6-6 so far this season. The teams have met just once before with Lake Forest prevailing 7-3 in Tucson, Arizona, in 2001. The Foresters will also travel to Illinois Wesleyan University (6-4) for a pair of games on Sunday starting at 1:00 p.m.
The Lake Forest men's tennis team was also in Florida last week for six matches in four days. The Foresters return home at 7-7 for the year and will host Wheaton College (5-5) at the Racquet Club of Lake Bluff Saturday at 6:00 p.m. The Thunder own a 12-7 advantage in the all-time series between the two teams, who have not met since 2015.
