The Lake Forest College cross country teams traveled to Geneva, Illinois, on Saturday and closed out the season at the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional.

The Forester women placed 26th and were led by sophomore Delfina Jorgensen, who completed the 6-kilometer course in 27:22.8, more than two minutes faster than her time on the same course six weeks ago, and placed 143rd in a field of more than 200 competitors. Freshman Atlas Hampton-Gregory was next at 29:15.8, followed by classmate Jacquelyn Han with a season-best time of 29:31.0.

Lake Forest had just two runners in the men's 8-kilometer race. Sophomore Bart Brophy finished with a career-best time of 29:53.1 and was 179th while senior Lionel Whitehead completed the final event of his career in 30:40.0.

The Wartburg College women and North Central College men were the team champions.

After some time off, the Lake Forest runners will begin the indoor track season at Carthage College's Forever Red Alumni Classic on December 3.
