The Lake Forest College cross country teams traveled to western Wisconsin on Saturday for the Tori Neubauer and Jim Drews Invitationals, which were hosted by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

The Foresters' performance at the meet were highlighted by senior Lionel Whitehead and junior Monika Wolska turning in their teams' fastest times of the season. Whitehead broke 30 minutes for the first time in his career, completing the 8-kilometer course in 29:29:45.2. Wolska posted a time of 26:44.5 to improve her personal best by 40 seconds.

Sophomore Bart Brophy was next on the men's team at 30:27.4 and classmate Delfina Jorgensen was second for the Lake Forest women in 26:53.2. Both were season-best times, as were those registered by nearly every Forester at the meet.

The Foresters will be in action next in two weeks at the 2022 Midwest Conference Championship Meet, which will be hosted by Monmouth College.
