GRINNELL, Iowa – The 2022 Midwest Conference (MWC) Volleyball Tournament gets underway on the campus of Cornell College on Friday, November 4 - Saturday, November 5, 2022.
 
After being crowned the 2022 MWC volleyball regular season champion, the Rams of Cornell College host the tournament as the top seed. Cornell went undefeated in league play to win its tenth consecutive league crown.
 
Lake Forest College secured the No. 2 seed in the tournament after going 7-1 in the regular season. The Foresters enter the postseason for the first time since 2014.
 
Making its sixth consecutive tournament appearance, Grinnell College will be the No. 3 seed. The Pioneers, who won their first program tournament title in 2019, went 6-2 in MWC contests, only losing to Cornell and Lake Forest in the last two matches in the regular season.
 
Illinois College locked up the No. 4 seed with a 5-3 MWC record. The Lady Blues enter the tournament field for the fourth consecutive season.
 
In Friday’s semifinals, No. 2 Lake Forest will play No. 3 Grinnell at 4:30 p.m., followed by No. 1 Cornell taking on No. 4 Illinois College at 7:00 p.m.
 
On Saturday, the winners of both semifinal contests will meet for the tournament title match at 1:00 p.m. The winner will be crowned Tournament Champion and receive the MWC automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.
