Football's Armani Brown and volleyball's Mary Gegen were named Forester Athletes of the Week on Tuesday.
During the Foresters' 49-0 route of Grinnell College on Saturday, Brown had limited touches, but he made the most of them. He recorded four carries for 3 touchdowns and 125 yards. His touchdown runs were 38, 2, and 70 yards, respectively.
Gegen led all players with a season-high 20 kills as Lake Forest overcame a two-set deficit to defeat Illinois College Friday night. She also had 11 digs in the victory, which clinched the Foresters' first Midwest Conference Tournament berth since 2014.
The Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by a vote of athletic department staff on Tuesdays. Gegen was awarded Forester Athlete of the Week honors on September 27; this is the first time this season Brown has achieved the award.
