Lake Forest College volleyball player Madison Stevens was named Midwest Conference Offensive Performer of the Week on Tuesday after helping lead the Foresters to a pair of four-set victories last week.
Stevens led all players in the match with 18 kills in a 27-25, 25-14, 21-25, 25-12 non-conference triumph at Alverno College Tuesday night. The senior middle blocked posted a .441 hitting percentage and served up one of the visitors' 12 aces on the night.
Lake Forest defeated visiting Ripon College 20-25, 25-15, 25-16, 25-21 Friday night to improve to 3-1 in league play this season. Stevens led the Foresters with a dozen kills and chipped in with another ace and a pair of blocks.
Stevens has racked up 78 kills with a .299 hitting percentage in the last six matches. She has also recorded at least one ace in each of those contests.
MWC Performers of the Week are selected by the league's sports information directors. Stevens was also named Forester Athlete of the Week earlier Tuesday afternoon.
