The Midwest Conference announced the 2021 All-MWC Volleyball Teams on Friday and Lake Forest College's Mary Gegen was a second team honoree.
Gegen led the Foresters with 286 kills and 55 blocks this fall. The sophomore outside hitter reached double figures in 14 of 27 matches and had at least 20 twice. She also recorded 10 or more digs eight times and posted five double-doubles.
Lake Forest was 4-4 in the MWC and Gegen ranked second in the conference with .94 blocks per set during league play. She was also fourth with 3.35 kills and 4.13 points per set.
The Foresters have now had at least one player listed among the league's best in 28 consecutive conference seasons.
