Set two was close until a four-point run by the Lady Blues gave them a 16-10 advantage. Lake Forest got no closer than three points the rest of the way.

Trailing 7-4 early in the third set, the Foresters won 10 of the next 13 points to pull ahead by four, their largest lead of the match. A 9-2 run by Illinois College, however, put the home team back in control and Lake Forest was unable to come back.
