The Lake Forest College volleyball team was defeated in four sets at Concordia University Chicago Tuesday night.

The Foresters were led in kills by junior Madison Stevens, who finished with 11 and a .292 hitting percentage in the match. Freshman setter Juli Barrientos tallied 27 assists and a team-high 18 digs while junior Izzi Visnjevac and freshman Rebekkah DeKok also reached double figures in digs with 13 and 10, respectively.

The Cougars took the opening set 25-15 but Lake Forest responded by winning the second 25-19 and was ahead 15-14 in the third. Concordia Chicago, however, won nine of the next 12 points and, after the visitors closed to within two, earned back-to-back points to finish off the set 25-21.

The Foresters led set four 10-9 but won just three points the rest of the way.

The non-conference loss dropped Lake Forest's overall record on the season to 7-15 while Concordia Chicago improved to 8-12.

The Foresters will host another non-conference match against North Central College Friday night at 7:00. It will be Senior Day and Kaity Mueller and Hannah Kobienia will be honored before the contest.
