Senior Grace Larson came within one kill of another double-double but the Forester volleyball team was defeated 25-16, 25-21, 25-20 at St. Norbert College Saturday afternoon.
Larson tied for the team lead with nine kills and paced the visitors with 10 digs in the contest. She was matched in the kills column by sophomore Isabel Donnelly, who added three blocks on the day. Junior Olivia Rhodes finished with 27 assists and also had three blocks.
The loss dropped the Foresters' overall record on the season to 10-13 and Midwest Conference mark to 3-2. St. Norbert improved to 9-11 overall and 5-1 in the league.
After prevailing at Lawrence University Friday night and falling at St. Norbert on Saturday, Lake Forest will travel south for two more conference contests next weekend. The Foresters will take on Monmouth College Friday night at 7:00 and Illinois College Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
