Junior Grace Larson recorded 22 digs in her return to the lineup but the Forester volleyball team was defeated 25-21, 25-18, 25-12 by visiting St. Norbert College Friday night.

Larson, who missed the team's last sx matches, also served up three aces during a nine-point run early in the opening set. After falling behind 10-3, St. Norbert took 10 of the next 13 points to tie the score and later rattled off five straight points to pull ahead 20-15. The Foresters fought off three set points before the visitors finished off the 25-21 win.

The Green Knights led set two 11-9 before winning six consecutive points to pull away. Lake Forest closed to within five points six times but could get no closer and St. Norbert took the set by seven.

The visitors won the first two points and led throughout the third set. A four-point run by the Green Knights increased their lead to five and six straight points later made the score 19-9. After Lake Forest won three of the next four points, St. Norbert closed out the match with a five in a row.

Freshman Olivia Smith led the Foresters' offensive attack with 10 kills and classmate Isabel Donnelly added five. Fellow freshman Hannah Nauert tallied 21 assists.

The loss dropped Lake Forest's overall record on the season to 8-12 and the team is now 1-3 in Midwest Conference play. St. Norbert improved to 8-13 overall and 5-1 in the league.

The Foresters will host Lawrence University Saturday afternoon at 1:00.
