Junior outside hitter Grace Larson recorded her sixth double-double of the season to help lead the Forester volleyball team to a 17-25, 29-27, 25-16, 25-22 victory over Benedictine University at North Central College on Friday. Lake Forest's second match at the North Central Quadrangular was canceled due to court conditions.

Larson led the visitors with a dozen kills and 14 digs and added three blocks. Freshman outside hitter Olivia Grimmer finished with 11 kills while freshman setter Hannah Nauert and junior defensive specialist reached double figures with 11 and 10 digs, respectively. Nauert also led the Foresters with 17 assists and five aces and freshman Isabel Donnelly's five blocks were also a team-high.

After dropping the first set 25-17 and falling behind late in the second, the Foresters fought off three set points, including two on kills by Larson. The visitors eventually broke a 27-27 on a kill by Grimmer and took the set on an ace from Daley. Lake Forest ran away with the third set and finished off the fourth with a kill by Grimmer to secure the four-set victory.

Moisture on the court forced coaches to cancel the Foresters' match against Loras College, which was scheduled for 8:00 p.m.

Lake Forest improved to 4-6 on the season while Benedictine fell to 1-10.

The Foresters will travel to Dominican University on Saturday for a 6:00 p.m. match-up with the Stars.
