Foresters Win in Four Sets at Mount Mary

The Lake Forest College volleyball team prevailed 25-21, 25-14, 24-26, 25-17 at Mount Mary College Tuesday night. In addition to her 29 assists, Forester sophomore Torie Pasiewicz served up a career-high five aces and added a dozen digs.

Seniors Cori Cooper and Molly McCloskey led the visitors with 12 and 11 kills, respectively, and McCloskey also reached double figures in digs with 10. Classmate Megan Trubich added nine kills and Kristen Braun, another senior, chipped in with eight. The Foresters' leader in digs was also a senior and, with 1,316 in her career Tia Rupnik is now just 30 digs shy of taking over fifth place in program history and 53 away from moving into fifth.

Lake Forest is now 7-5 on the season while Mount Mary fell to 6-6.

The Foresters will play their next two matches at Milwaukee School of Engineering on Saturday. Lake Forest will take on the hosts at 10:00 a.m. and will face Mount Mary again at noon.
