Lake Forest Falls at Wheaton College

The Forester volleyball team was defeated 28-26, 25-23, 25-17 at Wheaton College Tuesday night. Lake Forest senior Tia Rupnik finished with 16 digs, received 27 serves without an error, and added two kills and two assists.

Rupnik's digs total led the visitors and sophomore Torie Pasiewicz and Molly McCloskey also reached double figures in that category with 13 and 10, respectively.

McCloskey pounded out a match-high 14 kills and is now just 50 shy of 1,000 for her career. Fellow senior Cori Cooper was next on the team with nine kills. Megan Trubich, another senior, had seven kills without an error in 19 attempts for a .358 hitting percentage.

Pasiewicz led all players in the match with 35 assists.

The Foresters will compete in the Jim Coleman Memorial Invitational at Aurora University this weekend. Lake Forest will take on Rockford College and Manchester College Friday night and Aurora and North Central College on Saturday.
