Fourth season as head women’s and men’s tennis coach after three years as an assistant

Has led the Foresters to an 29-19 overall record and 15-2 mark in Midwest Conference play over the last three seasons

Directed players to a First Team All-MWC honor and 14 Second Team All-MWC accolades in the last two seasons

Lake Forest is 89-36 overall and 40-4 in the league since he came to the College

Has also served as head boys and girls tennis coach at Lane Tech High School and head junior varsity/assistant varsity boys coach at Northside College Preparatory School

Played at Elk Grove High School and Harper College before graduating from the University of Arizona

Worked in the advertising industry for 17 years

 

After three-and-a-half years as an assistant women's tennis coach at the College, Scot Reinhart was named head coach in January of 2021. He holds the same position with the men's program.

Lake Forest was 11-10 overall and finished second in the Midwest Conference standings with a mark of 5-1 in league play in 2022-23. The Foresters were the runners-up at the MWC Tournament, making their fifth consecutive appearance in the event's final. Reinhart is now 29-19 overall with victories in 15 of 17 league matches in three years as head coach. The team is also 89-37 overall and 40-4 in the conference since he joined the staff.

Margaret Bugnacki captured a conference title at #2 singles and Lake Forest players reached the finals of the MWC Individual Tournaments at seven of the other eight positions in the lineup. Since Reinhart came to the College, Foresters have claimed conference titles or been named All-MWC 25 times. Three Foresters earned Academic All-MWC status in 2022-23, raising the program's total since 2017 to 26. Those same three individuals were also named Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar Athletes.

Reinhart has led the Forester men to a 29-21 overall record with a 15-2 mark in the MWC over the last three years. He has now helped lead the team to a 74-57 overall record and a 34-7 mark in league play in his seven seasons with the program. Lake Forest has been the runner-up at five of the last six MWC Championship Tournaments and players on the team have earned 19 all-conference honors in the last five full seasons.

Reinhart was the head boys and girls tennis coach at Lane Tech High School from 2016 to 2020 and led the girls team to a third place finish at the Chicago Public Schools City Tournament his first season. Prior to taking over the program at Lane Tech, he was the head junior varsity and assistant varsity coach at Chicago's Northside College Preparatory High School and led the JV team to four CPS titles.

In addition to coaching tennis, Reinhart owns and operates a small business. After graduating from the University of Arizona, he spent 17 years working for various advertising agencies and developed advertising, packaging and promotions for clients such as Coors Brewing, Kraft Foods, U.S. Postal Service, Nestle Quik!, Red Lobster, Salon Selectives, Coke Brands, Cracker Jack and Frito-Lay Brands, and Orville Redenbacher.

Still a successful player himself, Reinhart has competed for Northwestern University's USTA 4.0 traveling team for several years and helped the squad claim a Chicago district championship. He played at Elk Grove High School for four years and at at Harper College for two before transferring to the University of Arizona, where he competed on the club team.
