The 2019-20 season will be the eighth with the Forester women's tennis team for assistant coach Jack McArdle. He also began working with the men's team at the College in the spring of 2012.

The Lake Forest women's team posted an overall record of 22-4 in 2018-19. The Foresters were also a perfect 9-0 in Midwest Conference play to capture their second league championship in the last four years. Players on the team closed out the fall by claiming eight of nine possible titles at the MWC Individual Tournaments. Lake Forest added another title in the spring at the four-team MWC Tournament to earn the program's first bid to the NCAA Tournament, where it advanced to the second round.

The Foresters are 115-53 overall and 49-8 in MWC play over the last seven seasons. They have also won a total of 18 conference titles, including at least one at every position in the lineup, and have added 12 runner-up finishes at the MWC Individual Tournaments.

The Forester men have captured 11 conference championships, including four by different players at #1 singles, during McArdle's eight seasons with the program. The team is 100-82 overall and 40-14 in MWC play since McArdle joined the staff.

An accomplished playe himself, McArdle is ranked nationally in Men's 50 Singles and Doubles. He has been a member of the College Park 4.5 and Open Men's Tennis Teams. McArdle played collegiately at NCAA Division I Miami University (Ohio) and finished seventh at the state doubles tournament while playing for Deerfield High School.
