Foresters Earn Team and Individual Academic Honors from ITA

The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced the 2022-23 Division III All-Academic Teams and Scholar Athletes on Wednesday and the Lake Forest College women's team and three of its members were listed.

To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale). The Foresters earned the award for the seventh consecutive year.

Individuals must record a grade point average of at least 3.5 for an entire academic year to earn ITA Scholar Athlete accolades. Lake Forest junior Margaret Bugnacki and sophomore Emily Bross were honored for the second year in a row and were joined by senior Kelsey Akins. It was the team's fourth straight season with at least three honorees.

More than 1,200 Division III women were named a ITA Scholar-Athletes and 160 women's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.
