The Forester women's tennis team was doubled up 6-3 by Stockton University Thursday evening in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
Junior Margaret Bugnacki won both of her matches, beginning with a narrow 8-6 triumph with freshman Rebecca Daskal at #1 doubles. Stockton took the other two doubles points.
Lake Forest tied the contest on a 6-3, 6-1 victory by sophomore Sara Lopez at #2 singles. After the Ospreys came out on top at #4, Bugnacki matched Lopez's score at the top spot in the lineup. The Foresters had an opportunity to take the match but fell in third set super tiebreakers at #3 and #4.
The loss dropped the Foresters' record this season to 10-7 while Stockton improved to 6-1.
Lake Forest will close out its Spring Break against Asbury College Friday morning at 8:30 (ET).
