The Lake Forest College women's team earned a pair of 9-0 victories in Wisconsin on Saturday, blanking Ripon College in the morning and Lawrence University in the afternoon.

The closest matches of the day came in singles at Lawrence, where Forester freshmen Libby Moog and Maggie Fields needed third set super tiebreakers to come out on top and #5 and #5, respectively. Moog took the first set 6-0 but fell by the same score in the second before pulling away 10-4 in the tiebreaker. Fields took the first set 6-2 before being edged out 7-6 (11-9) in the second. She prevailed 10-8 in the tiebreaker.

Five Foresters were 4-0 on the day with juniors Maria Jose Campos and Margaret Bugnacki leading the way at the top of the lineup. They finished the team's Midwest Conference schedule with a perfect 6-0 record at #1 doubles while Bugnacki is also 6-0 at #2 singles and Campos 5-1 at #1. Moog and sophomore Sarah Lopez won their #2 doubles matches on Saturday and added triumphs at #3 and #4 singles, respectively. Fields played with fellow freshman Rebecca Daskal in both contests at #3 doubles and was also victorious twice at #5 singles. Sophomore Emily Bross rounded out the singles lineup at Ripon and Daskal at Lawrence.

The Foresters are now 8-4 overall this season and their 5-1 mark in MWC play is good for second place in the league standings. They will take on Lawrence, which was 4-2 in the conference, in the semifinals of next Friday's four-team MWC Tournament at Hitters SportsPlex in Middleton, Wisconsin. The winner will face the team that comes out on top of the other semifinal between league champion Grinnell College and fourth-place Illinois College.
