Four members of the Lake Forest College women's tennis team made the trip to St. Louis for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regional Tournament over the weekend.

Juniors Maria Jose Campos and Margarent Bugnacki competed in singles and doubles at the event. Campos came out on top of a three-set decision in the singles round of 64 before falling to a top-16 seed in her next match. Bugnacki also went three sets in her first match but was defeated by a top-8 seed. She prevailed in the consolation bracket round of 32 before being eliminated.

As a doubles team, Campos and Bugnacki swept their opening round opponents 8-0 but were not able to get past the tournament's #2 seeds.

Sophomore Sara Lopez and freshman Libby Moog played in the Blue Singles Division, where Lopez advanced after doubling up her first round opponent 6-3 in both sets. Moog fell in the opening round but posted an 8-4 victory in the consolation bracket's round of 32.

The Foresters are 6-4 overall and 3-1 in Midwest Conference play so far this season. They will close out their league schedule in Wisconsin next Saturday, playing at Ripon College at 9:00 in the morning and Lawrence University at 3:00 p.m.
