Lake Forest Comes Out on Top at Roosevelt

The Forester women's tennis team earned a narrow 5-4 victory at Roosevelt University on Tuesday.

The visitors began the contest by winning two of the three doubles matches. Sophomore Sara Lopez and freshman Libby Moog doubled up the Lakers' #2 tandem 6-3 while senior Kelsey Akins and sophomore Emily Bross blanked their opponents 6-0 at #3.

Lake Forest player were edged out at each of the top three positions in the lineup but prevailed by a large margin at the bottom three. Lopez dropped just one game in a 6-0, 6-1 triumph at #3. Freshman Rebecca Daskal and sophomore Isa Hinojosa were even more dominant, sweeping their opponents 6-0, 6-0 at #5 and #6, respectively.

The Foresters are now 6-4 overall this season and will travel to St. Louis for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regional Tournament this weekend.
