The Forester women's tennis team was defeated 7-2 at Wheaton College Wednesday evening.
The visitors earned one of the three doubles points when sophomores Sara Lopez and Isa Hinojosa won the tiebreaker 7-4 at #2.
Their other point also came on a tiebreaker victory. Freshman Maggie Fields took the first set 6-4 and the second 7-6 when she outlasted her counterpart at #5 singles 12-10 in the tiebreaker.
Lake Forest is now 1-3 this season while Wheaton improved to 2-1.
The Foresters will begin Midwest Conference play at home this weekend. They will host Cornell College Saturday morning at 9:00 and Grinnell College Sunday at 10:00 a.m.
