Lake Forest Women an ITA All-Academic Team, Five Named ITA Scholar Athletes

The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced the 2021-22 Division III All-Academic Teams and Scholar Athletes on Wednesday and the Lake Forest College women's team and five of its members were listed.

To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale). The Foresters earned the award for the sixth consecutive year.

Individuals must record a grade point average of at least 3.5 for an entire academic year to earn ITA Scholar Athlete accolades. Lake Forest junior Natalia Leite made the list for the third year in a row and was joined by sophomore Margaret Bugnacki and freshmen Emily Bross, Bridget Crowley, and Isa Hinojosa. It was the team's third straight season with at least five honorees.

In 2022, 940 Division III women were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete and 125 women's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.
