For her wins against Carthage College on Sunday, women's tennis senior Katie Wegrecki was named women's Forester Athlete of the Week on Tuesday.
Wegrecki scored two wins, one at the three doubles position and one at the five singles, to help the Foresters triumph over the Firebirds. She first scored a 8-6 victory in doubles with partner freshman Isa Hinojosa, and then went onto defeat her Carthage opponent 6-0, 6-1 in her singles match.
Forester Athletes of the Week are voted for by the athletic department on Tuesdays.
