Lake Forest College women's tennis player Julie Lord was named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week on Tuesday.
The Foresters hosted and defeated St. Norbert College 9-0 in Saturday's MWC North Division Tournament final and will face off with Grinnell College in the MWC Championship Match this Friday.
Lord and fellow senior Tyranny Miller won for the eighth time in as many matches on Saturday, defeating the Green Knights' #1 doubles team 8-2. Lord also competes at the top of Lake Forest's singles lineup, where she rolled 6-1, 6-0.
Saturday's triumphs moved Lord into sole possession of third place in program history with 135 career victories in singles and doubles combined. She also became the first Forester to prevail 60 times at #1 singles.
MWC Performers of the Week are selected by the league's sports information directors. Lord also earned the award on April 20 and three times prior to the 2021 season.
