The Intercollegiate Tennis Association recently released its final 2019-20 rankings and Lake Forest's #1 doubles team of senior Leeza Bodnar and junior Julie Lord was listed eighth in the Central Region.

Lord and Bodnar, who have been doubles partners for three seasons, won 22 of 24 matches in 2019-20, including a program record-tying 15 in a row since the opening round of the ITA Regional Tournament in September. Their 20-1 record at the top of the lineup in dual matches is the best mark by a #1 doubles team in school history and the 60 victories they earned together over the last three seasons are also a team record for any position.

With an 8-5 triumph in the championship match at the Midwest Conference Individual Tournament in October, Lord and Bodnar became the first duo in league history to capture three consecutive titles at the top spot in the doubles lineup. They were also 9-0 against conference opponents during the regular season and finished with a 24-match winning streak against conference opponents.

Bodnar finished her career ranked fourth in program history with 71 doubles victories while Lord, with a season remaining, is sixth with 63.

Lord and Bodnar narrowly missed being listed in the top 25 in the nation with the final spot going to the doubles team just ahead of them in the regional rankings.

The 2019-20 Foresters were 13-5 overall and finished second in the MWC standings with an 8-1 mark in league play.
