Foresters Sweep Judson, Remain Undefeated

Several of the matches were close but Lake Forest came away with a fourth consecutive 9-0 victory on Wednesday against visiting Judson University.

Junior Tyranny Miller and sophomore Tebatso Duba combined for an 8-2 victory at #2 doubles while Senior Leeza Bodnar and junior Julie Lord won 8-3 at #1 and sophomores Emma Wang and Grace Gould prevailed by the same score at #3.

Miller was the first to finish in singles, defeating the Eagles' #4 player 6-1, 6-1. The Foresters' clinching point came from Bodnar, who took both sets 6-2 at #2. Duba posted a 6-4, 6-1 victory at #2 and Lord edged out Judson's top player 7-5, 6-3. Lake Forest dominated in the bottom third of the lineup where freshman Natalia Leite did not lose a game at #6 and Gould won both sets 6-1 at #5.

The Foresters improved to 6-0 on the season while Judson fell to 1-3.

Lake Forest will resume its Midwest Conference schedule on the road this Saturday, playing at Cornell College at 9:00 a.m. and Grinnell College at 3:00 p.m.
