Foresters Finish Fall Undefeated

Sophomore Emma Wang improved to 12-0 in singles and 11-0 in doubles this year as the Lake Forest College women's tennis team prevailed 9-0 at Ripon College on Sunday. It was the final dual match of the fall for the Foresters, who are 12-0 overall and 9-0 in Midwest Conference play.

Wang and classmate Grace Gould set a program record for consecutive victories by a doubles team by defeating the Red Hawks' #3 pairing 8-1 on Sunday. Forester senior Allison Watts and sophomore Tyranny Miller had already blanked their opponents 8-0 at #2 and the visitors added an 8-4 triumph at the top spot in the lineup by sophomore Julie Lord and junior Leeza Bodnar.

Watts finished the day without dropping a game after her 6-0, 6-0 shutout at #2. Lord defeated Ripon's top player 6-2, 6-1 and Miller took both sets 6-1 at #5. Freshman Katie Wegrecki the closed out the contest with a 6-0, 6-2 victory at #6.
